"As a designer, line, balance, rhythm, harmony, contrast are the basic artistic principles that I adhere to in both my hard-edge paintings and sculptures.  Of primary importance, with or without covert subject is the relationship of shapes and forms in the composition.  When successfully arranged, these element should draw the eye into and around the piece.  Color also plays an important role in the paintings, as it gives added emphasis and visual interest and can even communicate emotion."
