“Paul Matheny’s Search for Truth series began more than 30 years ago, shaped by his familiar southern landscape, an early painting lesson from a local sign painter he met as a child, conversations with unique individuals, and natural environments where he listens to stories from trees.

This exhibition, Knowledge and Wonder, traces the continued evolution of The Search for Truth series through paintings created between 1996 and 2026.”
