"My work is developed systematically through an additive process of layering acrylic paint, collage materials, and various acrylic mediums over masked areas. These faceted and densely layered compositions reflect my interest to reconcile two distinct features: rigorously developed configurations of shape and less controlled methods of paint application. 

 

While remaining influenced by motifs of Modernist abstraction, I also derive influence from the characteristically intense hues and contrasting color schemes found in a variety of pop cultural sources extending from commercial signage to comic art and board games."
